Since the inception of Maya CARE Foundation in India in 2009, our Founders Abhay Joshi and Manjiri Gokhale Joshi have funded the service through their personal income. Abhay Joshi
Founder Director
Abhay Joshi is Founder Director of Elephant Connect Education and has over 25 years of corporate managerial experience including eight years in training school and University students in Science, Maths and Engineering subjects. An accomplished educationist, Abhay’s mentoring has transformed struggling students into confident achievers performing to the best of their abilities. Abhay is also the founder of The Vi Educational foundation; a charity that works for children from underprivileged backgrounds by supporting them to achieve higher grades.
Abhay’s past assignments include: Head, Customer Delivery, Tech Mahindra, UK, Head, Professional Services, NSC Global, UK and Lecturer in Engineering, Maharashtra Institute of Technology, Pune, India. Abhay has been a School Governor at Radcliffe School, Milton Keynes UK and President of Lions Club International (Milton Keynes, UK). He is a certified private pilot.
Manjiri Gokhale Joshi

She has a Master’s degree in Mega-Project Management from Said Business School, University of Oxford. In 2016, Manjiri was one of the 12 professionals among 13,000 applicants selected by Linkedin and Virgin Media to assist Virgin Founder Richard Branson judge, select and mentor entrepreneurs for a UK-wide contest for a 1 million pound fund. She is a recipient of the British High Commission Chevening scholarship (2006).
Manjiri is a training and project management professional with experience in developing leaders who demonstrate measurable business outcome. Till March, 2020, Manjiri was CEO of Global Talent Track (GTT) an 11-year-old company specializing in corporate training and corporate social responsibility (CSR) projects with the mission to make India employable. GTT is a joint venture of Cisco, Intel and industry veterans Dr Uma Ganesh and Dr Ganesh Natarajan.
Manjiri spent over 25 years in the Business Process Outsourcing (BPO), IT, Education, Insurance, Media and Publishing industries. Before she moved to the UK 10 years ago, she contributed to the growth of Zensar BPO from 75 to 1000 people in the capacity of Head, HR and Head, Contact Centre. Prior to this, Manjiri has been an entrepreneur having successfully co-founded and led Elephant Connect, a highly profitable venture in the niche area of leadership training and project transformation.
Among her other past assignments are: Learning & Development Specialist and Head, Project Management (Primal) at Informa PLC, London, Programme Manager, GlobalLogic, UK, National Manager and Head, Corporate Communication, ICICI Lombard, Mumbai, Project Manager, E-learning, GE Capital, New Delhi, Assistant Editor, Dataquest, New Delhi, Director, Current Affairs, In Mumbai TV and Reporter and Sub-Editor, The Indian Express, Mumbai.
